Mountain Labs Teknoloji A.Ş. - ODAK

2024 — 2025 · Completed · Part-Time Long-Term Mechanical Design Intern

ODAK is a wooden-bodied device developed to monitor indoor air quality in real time. It measures CO₂, PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10, VOC, temperature and humidity and reports them to the user.

We worked with an R&D team of about eight people on average, which changed from time to time. The core of the work was to keep the aesthetics of wood together with modern sensor and display technologies: the device had to look not like a lab instrument but like an object that belongs in a living room. The design of various prototypes, the manufacturing process and the electronics integration were completed.

By offering an aesthetic and functional solution in terms of user experience, ODAK became a product and began selling actively, mostly in the domestic market.

As a part-time intern engineer at the company, I took an active role in the device's industrial design, CAD-CAM modeling, creation of high-quality product visuals, electronics integration and prototyping.
